"My wife and I have just had a fantastic 17 night stay at AlumKulKul. We stayed in a Alum Villa with the smaller swimming pool just outside our room, fantastic. We had not been to Bali for 20 years and there was a lot of change but not the warmth of the Balinese or their service. The room was great and the staff extremely friendly. The hotel is in a great location and is of a very traditional Balinese style, beautiful gardens and is quite and extremely restful. We recommend that you catch \"Tommy\" the guitar/singer player at Pappa\'s he is withou t doubt the best in Bali. The beach being just over the road from the hotel is fantastic. There were lots of families with small children and the small pool became more of a family affair with all guests inter acting and getting to know each other. "My partner and I arrived late on a Sunday night on the 12th of April, after being severely let down by another hotel we were supposed to stay at. The moment we walked into the lobby at Alam Kul Kul, we immediately felt like we were home. Unbelievably friendly and helpful staff who treated us like long lost friends. The next four days were pure bliss. Perfect location, perfect breakfasts and amazing coffee! Every staff member at Alam Kul Ku would stop as you walked past to bow and wish you a happy day. I never felt like a guest at this hotel; more like a member of a wonderfully hospitable family. Amazing, exceptional....words cannot really describe. Will stay here at every opportunity I get. "Stayed last week in Dec 08. Fantastic staff, very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a very laid back, old wrold charm about it. Great place to relax. You step in a truly Bali feeing once you are in. Thatched villas, lot of flowers & Plants, carvings etc. A step away from the din of Kuta Beach, so you can choose when you want to be in the crowd and when to get away. Good breakfast and lively music in the Papa\'s cafe in the evenings. I would definitely recommend for a relaxing holiday. Sitting in the verandas of your room amid verdant luxury, with your feet up on the wooden railing after a day on the beaches is .. heaven. "We stayed at Alum Kul Kul for the past 2 weeks and didn\'t want to come home. The rear pool rooms are fantastic with the garden pool directly outside your room. Only a small number of rooms so no fighting over the lounges. Everyone could have one and be comfortable. The gardens and grounds are kept in magnificent splendour and the room staff were so friendly. They couldn\'t do enough. Management staff were always available as they wandered the grounds daily.
